After an accident the guys got in back in 2009 the band revised itself. Breaking the constraints even more. Pushing the boundaries to new levels. The newly inducted "Girls" of the band are ready for some fist pumpin' rock n' roll! Dont be swayed by their pretty looks and fierce attitudes, these girls have truly become... Dogs.

Velvet Dog has gone through a couple changes and currently has a new bassist that you've seen playing with us for a couple shows. Thump (formerly Flat Atom) is now playing spontaneous shows having V.D. still playing some shows still as a 3 piece at times. Keep an eye out for what shows will have the spectacular 4 piece known so well as Velvet Dog or the original 3 piece line-up of Rock, Leno and Taj. Dont forget to check new videos and show dates.

Velvet Dog is back in the studio with engineer & producer in Madison, WI @ Recluse Studio. The guys are redoing the whole last CD which was self-produced by Taj & the guys in Taj's home studio and the bands rehearsal studio. The quality will be outrageous in comparison! Watch out for the next release of "Still-In Heat"!

First Demo released - Velvet Dog - Spreading The Disease (STD)
Velvet Dog opens up for who was supposed to be Harsh Reality but couldn't make it. So Flat Atom from Madison, WI came to play with Velvet Dog for their first show at Club ? (Anything), Milwaukee, WI. Show went off w/o a hitch. Velvet Dog rocked the club to a close to packed house!

Velvet Dog opens for friends, PEPPERMINT CREEPS. Taj and Traci from the Peppermint Creeps had been friends a few years along with April from Grace Street Bar outside Chicago, IL in Addison. Velvet Dog's second show was fun. They had a few issues and learned alot. Unfortunately Traci passed away the following week on Leno's birthday while on tour in Texas. (RIP-Traci Michaelz)

RADIO INTERVIEW ON 97.3 MILWAUKEE WITH DAVE RILEY.
Velvet Dog got the call to a half hour radio show in Milwaukee. Rock wasn't able to make it but Leno & Taj took the reigns. The show was a blast! 20 minutes of interview or so and a full disc play of Velvet Dog's Demo CD... "Spreading the Disease".

Last night fuckin' ROCKED @ the elbo room in chicago. all the guys had a great time and "sources" informed me that most of them did not get home that night. its always a great time in chicago.

According to sources the guys just finished up a multi-track version of the new songs and are ready to move forward with the next cd. Taj is getting ready to lay the drum tracks in the next week or so.
